Delivery Lead - Data & AI

About the role and the Xomnia culture

In this role, you lead Xomnia’s client engagements on the business and delivery side. You are Xomnia’s face at the client: you own the relationship, keep scope and expectations aligned, and make sure our teams of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and data engineers can do their best work. You understand what makes Data & AI delivery different: the uncertainty of experimentation, the dependency on data quality and availability, and the step from proof-of-concept to a solution that runs in production. You bring structure to that complexity without killing the room to explore.

Beyond your own engagements, you play a leading role in how Xomnia delivers. Agentic AI is changing what project management can look like, and you help us get there first. You design, build, and evolve our agentic delivery framework, where AI agents take on work in planning, reporting, risk monitoring, and governance, so our delivery becomes more predictable, efficient, and scalable.

We’re looking for someone who has a vision on what project management in an agentic way can be. Not because you’ve read about it, but because you’ve worked with AI agents and agentic workflows yourself, seen what works and what doesn’t, and have clear ideas about where delivery is heading. You combine that with solid experience delivering Data & AI projects for clients.

You are strategic, pragmatic, and outcome-oriented. You thrive in a consultancy environment where priorities evolve, perspectives differ, and clarity needs to be created continuously. You know how to bring people together, build trust with clients and colleagues, and create momentum. You work closely with sales on proposals and, of course, with engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure delivery remains aligned, predictable, and impactful.

Your role

As Delivery Lead, you are responsible for the end-to-end orchestration and governance of complex Data & AI and digital transformation client engagements:

• Lead the business and delivery side of Data & AI and digital transformation engagements, such as cloud data platforms, machine learning and AI products, agentic AI solutions, and broader digital transformation initiatives.

• Act as Xomnia’s primary point of contact at the client and own the engagement end-to-end: from trusted relationships at senior and executive level to its commercial health, including scope, change requests, budget, and hours.

• Lead multidisciplinary teams of Xomnia data scientists, machine learning engineers, and data engineers, creating the conditions for them to do their best work.

• Guide engagements from experimentation and proof-of-concept to production, managing the uncertainty and data dependencies that come with Data & AI work.

• Set up governance, decision-making, and risk management that fit each engagement, using agentic workflows to keep planning, reporting, and risk monitoring sharp and up to date.

• Drive pre-sales activities by interpreting client challenges and translating them into viable approaches and commercial proposals.

• Design, build, and evolve Xomnia’s agentic delivery framework, putting AI agents to work in how we plan, steer, and govern our projects.

• Champion agentic ways of working across Xomnia: share what works, help colleagues adopt it, and keep raising the bar for how we deliver.

What you bring to the table

• 8 - 10 years of experience in delivery management or project leadership, of which at least 4 - 5 years in a consultancy or client-facing delivery role.

• A proven track record of delivering Data & AI projects, such as data platforms, machine learning models, or AI solutions that made it to production. You understand the full lifecycle and can hold your own in conversations with data scientists and engineers.

• Tangible, hands-on experience with AI agents and agentic workflows: you have built or applied them in your own work, and you can show concrete examples of how they changed the way you deliver.

• A clear vision on how agentic AI will change project management and delivery, and the drive to turn that vision into a working framework.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience managing client relationships up to executive level in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

• Commercial awareness: experience managing scope, budgets, and change in client engagements, and contributing to proposals.

• An ownership mindset focused on outcomes, combined with the ability to bring clarity and structure to ambiguous or fast-changing situations.

• Professional proficiency in English and full fluency in Dutch are mandatory.
